Day 26 - Queens Head to Tardebigge

Saturday 4th October - 2 miles, 30 locks

Work to rain as forecast, typical the only rain on our trip and we have to face Tardebigge. Rang Rob, him and Jack are keen to visit and help so delayed for an hour. It had stopped raining by the time they got here at 12.00. Although they bought bacon and rolls we decided to take them to the Queens Head for a sandwich lunch given the weather.

Rob and Jack working the locks
Set off up the locks and at the first met a boat coming down hooray! We had seen these people in Little Haywood they were friends of Tarka Morris. She told us that was the trip to mark the end of the team.

Tardebigge Top Lock in under 3 hours

Completed Tardebigge in three hours. It is surprising what a difference having two extra crew and the locks set makes.

Quiet night in front of the telly.
