Day 23 - Kinver to Stourport

Wednesday 1st October - 10 miles, 8 locks

Kidderminster Lock - recreation of the photo in the guide book
A pleasant cruise through more woods and rocky cuttings. Locks spread out all along canal to Stourport. Had a late start as we went to Wilsons boating furniture showroom to look at sofas. They were comfortable but after a lot of toing and froing we decided it was a lot of money to spend as we are still not sure how long we will be on the boat. We would also incur costs of having the fixed sofa and floor done.

Debenhams at Kidderminster!
Cruised through Kidderminster which looked inviting passing a Sainsburys and Tesco  with moorings outside having done a co-op shop in Kinver they were of no use to us.

Moored at Stourport Basin
Had lunch on the go and got into Stourport around 4pm temporarily mooring above the basin while Paul went to check if there was a mooring vacant in the basin. There was so we moved down.

Went for a wander and got lured into Wetherspoons. Picked up a takeaway which was very good indeed.
